We provide water and light snacks on the boat. The SMOOTH OPERATOR accommodates 3 adults, with larger parties possible if children are included. This is a hands-on charter. All skill levels are welcome, and guests are encouraged to participate fully—from setting the hook to netting fish—rather than just holding the rod.

Meet Captain Mark
A lifelong Copper Country native, Captain Mark has spent the last 27 years fishing Lake Superior. You will enjoy his encyclopedic knowledge of the local area and his dusty dry humor. The SMOOTH OPERATOR (the boat) is docked at 53420 Big Traverse Road, Lake Linden MI 49945. It is a short 30 minute drive from Houghton MI.
A close camping option is the Schoolcraft Township Campground which is a 5 minute car ride from The Wharf.
